About the Secret Vienna Drawings

The idea of this series of new drawings came in origin from the city Vienna itself. “Vienna represents for me an exotic destination layered with historical, cultural differences and this in a contemporary setting”. I liked the idea of a video accomplishing the drawing as a sort of recording and exploring process. The videos were like a “drawing on the road” tool but the drawings were given very precise connotations instead of replicating the obvious. Once the project had started, the subjects came to me on a irregular base during drawing or by watching the bulk material of the moving images.

Seductive, tender, immersive, vibrant and shrouded in secrets. Calligraphic strokes, harsh sharp curved black lines and exuberant colours allow the drawings to become ambient, dreamy and stargazing.

This online interactive art exhibition, not bounded by physical restrictions, is an invitation to discover and rediscover.
